The work is carried out in the context of the pan-European initiative, coordinated by the eHDSI (eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure), which aims to interconnect the eHealth national systems of the EU countries. Specifically, it enables the EU countries to provide high quality cross border healthcare services to the EU citizens by allowing the seamless cross-border exchange of clinical documents (Patient Summary and ePrescription).<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">In particular, Malta and the Maltese citizens benefit from the experience and the <strong>eHealthPass<\/strong><\/span><strong>TM<\/strong><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> platform of Gnomon Informatics SA to interconnect the national healthcare infrastructure with the National Contact Point (NCP) for <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">c<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ross-<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">b<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">order <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">h<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">ealth using international and open interoperability standards. The system is already operational and allows the Maltese citizens who travel within EU and the EU citizens who travel to Malta <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">to have access to <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">high quality cross border care.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">The extension of the collaboration <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">is added<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> to the long <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and successful <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">track record of Gnomon informatics SA in providing similar services<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> on behalf of eHealth agencies and organisations from Cyprus, Ireland, Luxemburg, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Greece, <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Belgium and Switzerland.\u00a0<\/span> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">This fact <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">further demonstrates the capacity of Gnomon Informatics SA to provide state of the art eHealth interoperability services <\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\">and<\/span><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> strengthens our position as eHealth interoperability leaders throughout Europe.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Thessaloniki 23\/2\/2021\u00a0 Gnomon Informatics SA announces the extension of the collaboration with the Ministry for Health of Malta for the support and the upgrade of the cross-border ehealth services of the country.
